Joe,  I thought the Flexcut tools were made from a different steel, one that has
some give to it, as opposed to the "stiffer" steel of traditional Euro style
tools.  They are formed from flat stock rather than forged thick stock.  After
all, Flexcut tools were intended to "bend" a bit if needed when scooping out
background, etc.
