hi folks,
sorry am a bit late with this topic but am trying to catch up .... am doing several things ... 1.  jewellry boxes with relief carving of koala bears on top, 2. an acrobat, doing a dance on a small square stool , with a cane crossing over his legs, one foot resting on the stool, the other leg resting on his shoulder, one hand holding the cane, the other crossing over one leg.... a real twister ....(size about 6inches as it is a maquette done in huon pine).... 3. a 4ft log of about 1ft dia. commission for state forest. tas. for their beautiful tas. oak.. hard wood)....sculpture is portrait of a man who loved smoking, peakcock, angels and life... but because the timber is green and was not sealed at the ends prior to coming to me, it is cracking and so the design is being redesigned avoiding the cracks.and making solve each problem as it comes.
