Hi all,
I am in the process of carving the stump of a tree that was cut down at my mother in laws place. The stump left behind is about 14" across by 5 ft high, it is pine, and the other day I went down and removed the bark and was surprised by the amount of sap oozing out of this thing, I was sticky up to my elbows.... So I decided to leave it a while before carving it to see if the sap stops running, or at least slows down a bit.
My question is; should I leave it for a while before carving it, or is it ok to just have at it sap or not? All the bark is now removed down to about 3" above ground level.
Thanks in advance.
Clive.
