[Woodcarver] Follow-up on Elizabeth ....

Hi everyone,

Carol talked with Elizabeth's mother, Fay, this morning.  She was concerned 
that someone get the word out to Beth's carving friends.  Carol reassured 
her that everyone knew what happened, so that was a relief to her.  Fay 
said that an embolism is what caused Beth's passing, very quick with no 
more prolonged suffering.

Most of you knew her through the internet, but Carol and I had the 
privilege of being with her twice.  She made a trip to the Dayton, OH 
Artistry in Wood show in November of '02.  Physically, it was very 
demanding on her, but it was hard to tell because of her bright smile and 
excited eyes as she wheeled up to our display area.  She gave us both a hug 
that left us gasping for air!  She was so excited to be at a carving show 
and to meet people she had heard about but never met.

The following March, her parents and Teresa brought her out to our shop to 
take a Harley Refsal carving seminar for a weekend.  Again, a very taxing 
time for her, but she had an emotional high that carried her through.  She 
just couldn't believe she was sitting there with other carvers learning 
from someone like Harley.  She really loved her chance at carving and 
making such wonderful friends.  And all she could talk about all weekend 
was her time she spent on the internet with her extended woodcarving 
family.  She really loved and appreciated each and every one of you.

Thanks to all who responded to the notice .... we let her Mom know of all 
your prayers and concerns.
