[Woodcarver] Juniper root carvings in Canada

I am looking for anyone who is familiar with the work of a Canadian woodcarver named Wilfred G. Hogson. 
Hogson was a rancher living at Dorothy Alberta, in the Drumheller valley area. He carved juniper root in the the 1930's until the 1970's.
I am told his work is well known but I can't find anyone locally who is
1. familiar with it
2. collects it
3. can value it

I own a large piece of his work aqcuired in the '60's.
Any help would be appreciated.
