[Woodcarver] Question from Newbie

Hello, I am new to the carving world and excited to be here.    I didn't
know how much fun I was missing! I am from upstate NY where it has been
raining most of the day.   I have a question for all experienced carvers.
Where could I find patterns for segments of friendship canes?  I've searched
the web for them but have not found much.  Do you just adapt them from other
small patterns?
