hi joe,
you are so reliable, every time we need some help you have something to
contribute. many many thanks.

at the moment i have done demos as well as attending workshops for the
council... they are prooving to be a wonderful source of exchanging ideas
between artists and a bridging the space between young and all ages to enter
the art world... demos have been at the library wherein we cannot make too
much mess but i have been able to do finishing touches on a sculpture
touching on the theme of love.... which brings peace and compassion etc. and
which is inviting discussion and wonderful rapport with artists and people
of walks of life. i am doing this free and representing the community centre
wherein i teach to help those in the community ....as i am not politically
inclined i get a bit muddled and have "brain fag or senior's blank moment"
after the demo it was electrifying as artists and politicians talking about
the art etc. and one politician wants me to exhibit the clydesdales etc
etc.
but the real good thing is that as a grou our voice is breaking through
barriers and even artists are more willing to join in the cultural exchange,
as we all have been affected in the past by not getting paid etc. and the
wonderful part of it is that artists are sharing and helping each other, and
most of all going beyond egos but into the nitty critty of creativity. so i
do not know how much to charge, or what to charge as i am getting pulled and
pushed between art and reality of the dollar.
i think , i will mention the fact that to demonstrate costs , like you say
$500 a day, which i am donating to the cause, but am charging them for
travel and expenses. the council apparently has a limited budget but i am
also thinking of the continuity ... because if this is successful, they will
have more of them.

yours thoughts are much appreciated.
many thanks
cheers
maricha
