Find a book that explains how web hosting and domain names work. One of 
the "Dummies" books might help here.

I use "Pair.com" for my web hosting, and it is through their website 
that I also registered my domain name. Simply go to www.pair.com and 
brouse through their website for the information you need. You can 
email support at pair.com for more help.
