That's a great solution.  I only wish that I'd asked before my fumbling effort.  Here is a webshot album (EXPO Cane) with pictures of blocks to be assembled for our MWCA EXPO-04.  Included are the 2 Staffs that I assembled from my club's (Metro Carvers) contribution.
