I suppose you could mix it with tallow...heat up some candle wax and mix in 
the diamond grit, 1/3 wax  2/3 grit. Anything to make it adhere to the 
strop or cardboard.
Don't use your better half's scented candles or you will really know what a 
"dimpled chad" feels like.(G)
