Holy cow Joe----what a great surprising pleasure to see Bob Mau and your 
smiling faces at EVART---"the smorgasbord of woodcarving" --it was also a great 
treat to preview your power-point presentation on principles of woodcarving and 
your new apprenticeship programme just after the spectacular "pot-luck" supper 
the nite before your official start------I found the whole "roundup" a 
surprise and overwhelming pleasure--- to think they made out over 501 registration 
ribbons& there were others that just didn't get any ribbons as they ran 
out---Sandy Holder and her husband carried the torch for the awesomely successful 
roundup---the Wed & Thurs.nite dulcimer concerts (at which she is an expert) blew 
me away as did the Dixieland  concert at the depot---to see and hear all this 
in the melieu of dozens of carving instructors and classes certainly makes 
this event a "must" for us all in ongoing years---it certainly makes the 16 hrs 
of driving seem like nothing ----again it was great to see you 2 Illinois guys 
again & I hope it occurs yet again in the near future---warm regards--
