[Woodcarver] Recent projects

Hi Dave,

The spool is the base for a home-made carving stand.  A pipe  through the
center is welded to a steel plate mounted to the underside of the spool.
Another pipe, which fits inside that one, allows the carving to be raised
and lowered,  attached to that pipe are angle irons which give me universal
positioning of the carving.  The stand even has wheels that allow me to move
the thing around.  Built by Pete Beaupre from my description, it is over 25
years old and has held statues up to eight feet tall.  I'll post pictures of
the thing on my picture trail.  The album title is "carving stand."
