Gene,
One other tool out there is an Ashley Iles (sp?) Gonzalez skew. That may not be
it's exact title, but it is a smallish chisel I bought a couple of years ago
while in a class with Peter Benson from England. Peter always has some
interesting Ashley tools with him for sale and how can you resist a new tool?
Anyway, it is a skew shape, but with a thin shank, broadening out to a wide skew
blade, with a curve to the outside cutting edge that is quite useful for
cleaning up in corners, under edges, etc. The curve allows you to take thin
shavings off a nearly flat surface. Ashley makes it in both a palm chisel size
or a longer sculpting size. I bought the palm size as that is what suited my
whims, er, needs! Big Dawg or one of the other dealers here may be able to tell
you more about it.
