Clive,
I wish I could point you to one really good site for carving your own, but I
haven't found it yet. I started with those two pages from Ben Hunt's book
and a little guidance and lots of encouragement from Roy Peters of Story
Teller flutes ( http://www.storytellerflutes.com/ ). He lives only 10
minutes away and we met at a local centenial celebration where we were both
giving demonstrations of our addictions. I have a few good links at my
"Links" page... http://www.borg.com/~bloomqum/links.html#naflute . If the
link doesn't take you to the category page anchor, you have to scroll down
past the woodcarving links. The list is a bit stale, I need to add these:
http://www.loomisflute.com/8-23-98.htm
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nativeflutewoodworking/
The second is a great bunch... very focused on flute making techniques.
Keep on Carvin'
-Mike B.->
