At the local tool store (House of Tools) I can purchase abrasive pads 
in a number of grits. Maroon is the "fine" grit, and works best with 
the sanding sealer.
I stopped using steel wool years ago in favor of these abrasive pads. 
Just make sure the pads do NOT contain detergent, as they would if you 
bought them in a kitchen shop.
