FWIW
I bought an inexpensive (read cheap) set of Stanley chisels at 'Wally-World'
and
use them for the general roughing-out/cleaning-up on the bark. These are the
plastic handled
sets of 4 that go for around $10. Once the roughing-out is done, the bark
doesn't have as
much sand & grit. The chisels have to be resharpened for first time use &
often during the
roughing-out, but it doesn't involve using the 'good' tools. (Plus you get
experience in sharpening)
