Hi Gordon,

That is a handy way to get "round" pads, but no matter how close together 
you cut them, you still waste a certain portion of the pad.  Over the 
years, we've found that cutting the whole pad into squares allows you to 
use every bit of the pad, and when you start using it in your rotary tool, 
they will round-out in no time.

Just one guy's humble opinion.
