Hi Larry,
I sure didn't mean to "over sight" you. I have not been to your event
but I have no doubt it is Grand. Anything associated with the Yudis'
is.

This thread began as Merrilee's summer travels. I hope she or any of
us don't have to mortgage the farm to put gas in our tanks for all of
this travel.

See ya on the trail.

Hi Sally, et al,

You did not mention the International Woodcarvers Congress held in
Davenport, Iowa! It is held at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds

June 21 & 22: Closed judging. This years' judges are J. Christopher
White. Loveland, CO; Bob Guge, Sleepy Hollow, IL; and Randy Landen,
Derby,
KS.

June 21 to 26: Seminars being held all week - 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 day
sessions
available by such noted instructors as Dave Bennett, Phil and Vicki
Bishop,
John Burke, Neil Z. Cox, Kirt Curtis, Debbe Edwards, John Engler, Bob
Guge,
Vic Hood, Randel B. Landen, Wanda Marsh, Peter Ortel, and Chris White.

June 24 to 27: Show is open to the public.

June 26 & 27: Judges Critique Sessions.

June 26: Annual Awards Banquet.

Merrilee must be busy with teaching, grading papers and winding up the
school year.

I'm sure she will be at Evart. I don't think she has ever missed one.
When I said the EXPO, I was thinking EXPO and Evart Roundup as a joint
event. My mistake!

The Michigan Wood Carvers Exposition is June 12-13
The Evart Wood Carvers Roundup is 16-19...both of these events are on
the same grounds so most everyone is coming for the whole week.

Then most folks move to Cadillac, MI for a week long session of carving
classes.

The Northeast Wood Carvers Roundup in Honesdale, PA is July 25-28.
Merrilee goes to all of these events.

So rest assured Joe and Jan, you'll get to see Merrilee.

Now for the rest of us who don't have to get back to the class
room...we have...

Gathering of Wood carvers (GOW) at Joe's in Somonauk, Il Sept. 21-25

International 2004 Carver's Conference with Chipping Away in Kitchener,
ON, CA Sept 10-12

There are plenty of club events and other things happening associated
with wood carving and I don't mean to leave anyone out. I'm only
mentioning the Roundup type of events that some of us follow like a
woodcarving circuit.

I know the Whillock family has a tentative Woodcarving festival
scheduled for August 21-22 but have not heard anything from them so I
can't comment on that.

See ya all at the Roundups

Hi Merrilee,

Any chance of you extending your visit to Cadillac a little earlier and
take
in the wonderful learning experience at Evart? The Evart Roundup is
June 16
through the 19.

Than how about my GOW is Somonauk Illinois September 21 through 25, or
is
school back by than?
