My summer is being rapidly changed unless I can get some folks who are interested in learnig how to carve fish from two of the country's top experts to sign up.
Clark Schreibeis will be teaching a 5 day class at his home near Billings, MT from July 12-16. Subject.. Rainbow Trout.. I believe it is a 14" trout. This will include carving, texturing, scaling and painting as well as instruction on how to make a study cast.

Bob Berry will be teaching a 5 day class at the Lionshead Super 8 and RV Park at West Yellowstone from August 10-14. Subject: Salt Water Reef Fish and Habitat with shell, coral and urchin. Contact is Royann Baum at rbaum1650 at aol.com or by phone at 801-373-5729
I hope we get a few more registered in each class so we can make a go of it. Last year I got very interested in fish carving watching Andy Anderson teach a class at the seminars at Missoula. I'm a bird carver, essentially, and talked to him about fish carving. He WAS a bird carver but got into fish because birds take SOOO long to complete. I love fish and fishing.. and I'm looking for a specialty that I can bury myself in rather than becoming a jack of all trades.. so to speak. Fish may be it for me.. but, while this summer was designed to help me find out.. the lack of students may drastically change that.
If you have any interest in working with one or both of these to world class experts.. check it out. I'll be thankful.. :-)
