Hi Big Dog,

Whew!!! Glad I placed my order early. I like your category of placing
Marv as a modern-day Anderson or a Janel. I refer to him as the Norman
Rockwell of wood carving. That's just one woman's opinion ;-)

I'm happy his book is doing so well for him.

Hey Y'all,

I've been stomping around this woodcarving racket for over 20 years and
have seen a lot of great woodcarving books .... but I ain't seen nothing
like this!

Marv, an ex-mathamatics teacher, approaches the art of designing and
carving caricature heads and faces much like presenting a lesson plan.
No
stone has been left unturned in his extensively detailed presentations.
Plus the book is loaded with all sorts of diagrams, photos, quips and
quotes. It's a delight!

The book is spiral bound so it lays flat for ease of use .... it has
extra
heavy-weight paper so it will last "forever".

There are a lot of great caricature carvers out there, but I,
personally,
put Marv in the realm of a modern-day Anderson or a Janel. But that's
just
one guy's opinion.

The first 24 books we got in came with an additional 12 page pattern
pak at
no extra charge. We have 17 of those left if you're interested.
