Pretty good, but a little rough.

You might want to try sealing the wood before painting and using a thinner 
wash.

I use a dewaxed shellac to seal the wood when painting on basswood, even 
though, I can't paint very well. 

Remember that using a thinner wash makes it easier to control how much paint 
you use.  You can always go over the paint to make the darker colors, but 
trying to lighten the color is impossible once on the wood.

For all of you more experienced here on this list,  try to be honest when 
someone asks for an opinion.  Hopefully they want truth and want to improve.
