Hi Ray,
There will be plenty of room to sit. I spend most of the time in my
Amigo chair as it is the most comfortable thing going. Bring your
tools...probably smaller for hand carving, unless you intend to get in on
the relief sessions offered. Also good to bring your honing strop.
Dress is casual.
I don't know if there is a planned auction for Marnie's fund. If so, I
haven't heard about it. A number of carvings are on display but I don't
know if there are any sales going on. This year will be just my second
and I hope there will be many more to come. The atmosphere is just
great...carvers on all levels and all willing to offer help or advice. I
know you will be glad you attended.
The music is a lot of fun stuff. Evart is also the home of an annual
Dulcimer Festival. Sandy Holder, one of the main organizers of the
Roundup is a dulcimer maker, player and festival organizer as well. I am
sure others will be there with their banjos, guitars, and fiddles. Good,
fun stuff.
Hope this helps. Did you receive a brochure of the Roundup? It lists
the various carving classes available.
God's blessings. Paul
