Hi,
I'm in the process of doing a relief carving of a painting done by Van Gogh "Portrait of Armand Roulin (1888). I'm progressing fairly well but I have noted that the nose and mouth are really not realistic(that's not the word to discribe the differences between the painting and a real nose). I've taken, I think they call it "artistic licence" and gone my own way. The head is slightly turned. Have any of you had some experience with type of thing and how have you delt with it?
   Don
