[Woodcarver] EMail Address Mining

There's another possibility here.
I think that people who join these lists really enjoy making so many new
contacts. Some people don't have access, other than these lists, to other
carvers with whom to share their love of carving. As more contacts are
made, more addresses are added to their address books. People get excited
about things and may, in complete innocence, decide to share something with
all of his/her new "friends". I am reasonably sure that this recipe was
sent out with just such a benevolent intent......just an effort to share a
fun seasonal experience with the people he has met and chats with. Bill is
an active participant on the "list" and in our woodcarver chats. If he had
just sent it to the list he might have been flamed for sending
non-carving-related material. IMHO he was probably right to send it
privately. People on the list have all different levels of computer
knowledge....many are not aware of the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy)
function: If you are sending something to a group of people, instead of
clicking on "to", click on "BCC". The will send the email to everyone on
your list, but will not show any of the email address on the email itself.

So much for my 2cents!
