[Woodcarver] Linseed oil , boiled or raw

Have a couple of questions about linseed oil. Is raw or boiled linseed oil better to use and why. If I put the raw oil on the stove and boil it , will I blow up or will  I have boiled linseed oil. In the past I have put boiled linseed oil on the stove to warm it up, but never to a point were it would boil. I am asking this because I just 10 gallons of raw linseed oil. Need to know if I can use it or not.
