In general, the shape of the burr should match the shape that you're trying 
to carve. I mostly use either a ball-shape, or a flame-shape. IMHO Typhoon 
burrs remove the most stock, Kutzall a bit less.
There are a couple of books out that really go into power carving & explain 
the use of the various burrs.
