Some months ago I set a piece of bark aside because it had a good-size crack
running up from the bottom of it - thought no one else would want it so I
would carve it myself. With the whimsical house bark carving craze in full
swing, I figured it was time for me to try one and that "reject" piece of
bark would be a good one to start on. Here are my thoughts about the
project.
I never thought I would do one but I did it.
It was fun and it made me think and be creative.
It was a LOT of work (did mine all with hand tools - no power except to
drill some holes)
I understand why lots of people like to do them.
My daughter-in-law will be surprised (and happy) when she opens her
Christmas present.
The piece of bark was about 19" long and 2.5" thick
