Unless I'm missing parts of the thread, I didn't interpret any thing from anyone that felt insulted.  Your question was way off in the philosophical end of woodcarving, but I enjoy those from this list as much as the nuts-n-bolts threads.  Don't lurk... keep those questions coming... if anything do it for those of us who don't ask them out loud.

  my question on needs was wonderfully answered by bill the moderator and i appreciate it very much. it meant a great deal. always i believed in being open instead of closing myself up... but now i know exactly why lurckers, are lurckers and because i love carving and working in wood i will be alurker.  the people in the list are wonderful and generous and as bill says, they share everything but do not brag. i am sorry if i ofended any one with my question about need but i feel shattered.
