Bob,
Years ago before I knew about or thought of wearing a glove on my left hand
I made several trips to town to get sewn up. I can still remember the
throbbing pain for days after the cut. I heard about superglue from a friend
of mine, also a carver, and low and behold I cut myself open in the kitchen
cutting up onions of all things. My wife wanted the hosp. for a sew job but
I got the bleeding to stop and used the superglue. The cut healed quickly
and I had no pain. I have used this several times on myself and my kids in
the last few years with the same outcome. I got up enough nerve to ask a Dr.
about it and was tolded that superglue under a different name was used in
hosp. for the same thing now. The important thing is to use your God given
brain and go to the hosp. if you can't get the bleeding to stop or if the
cut is bad enough,in other words use good judgment.
