[Woodcarver] Power Sharpening

Hi all;

I'm looking into purchasing a power sharpening system for my knives and
gouges. I'm really getting frustrated with my oil stone and my tools are
now at the point that they need some touch up. They probably have from
the day I purchased them. It would seem that I have several options and
just wanted to get some input on what some of you are using or have used.

The Razor Sharp system looks interesting (paper wheels)... but I'm
concerned with hollowing grinding my tools.

Veritas has a nice looking platter system but it goes for $300 and it
seems to be difficult to find 8" discs above 220 grit. Although I could
by 9x11 sheets and cut my own discs.

I'm also considering a 1x belt system but notice that some of them
appear to have guides that would make it difficult to get a knife blade
close up to the paper.

I've also seen some rubber 'grit' impregnated wheels out there.

Basically I need something that will quickly re-sharpen my tools without
my massacring the bevels on my Arkansas.

As always I'm sure I'll get a wealth of info and opinions. Any input
would be greatly appreciated

thanks much
