Hi Bill,
Looks like it's us in the corner all by ourselves on the height issues. Oh
well it works for me and that is the important part of the exercise.
Besides when I work on a 5 ft. piece the table height does come into play.
I even went so far as to build a special heavy duty Lazy Susan with pin lock
to keep it from changing position when working on big pieces, I can work on
pieces weighing up to 200 lbs. and rotate them with two fingers of one hand.
The sum total of the exercise is that regardless of who you are and your
level of skill there is a time to be hard core traditional and a time to go
outside the envelope... After all that is what makes us Artist/Artisans! So
finding short cuts or modifications to our equipment is not new.
