branches; maple works the best for me.  You just keep shaving them down
until the twig breaks.

Hello Marilyn Osterhouse,

Saturday the mailman delivered your wonderful W3E
exchange carving.

It is wonderful.  I think the delicate hand carved
flowers look like mums.  The two tone coloring which
is the result of the bark and inner wood is really
great.
The flowers are in a darling little wooden pot.  How'd
you do that anyway????

Thanks so much.  Will add to my collection of exchange
items and enjoy it daily.
