Hey Tom,  I'm not Mike but sounds like you're a bit down (temporarily). 
  We've all had a bit of "down" time now and then.  As a friend whose 
been there... don't give up on carving.  It's good therapy even if 
you're sitting in the woods whittling a point on a stick.
