[Woodcarver] Questions about rotary tools & wood burners

Woodcarvers Supply sells a heavy duty 1/4 hp 25,000 RPM flex shaft 
tool similar to the Foredom that uses all the Foredom handpieces.  I 
find that 25,000 RPM is usually fast enough for heavy work .  The 
high speed permanent magnet mini grinders are great for detail work 
albeit most are a bit pricey.  Proxon makes a permanent magnet mini 
grinder for less than $100 that is pretty darn good for the price.
