HI Jack!!

I met Jack and many others on this list at the Evart Roundup. I went to
my first Roundup after I had been carving on and off for a year. The
Roundup attracted me because it was only 3 hours away, the instruction
was free, it had a flexible schedule(1/2 day seminars) and variety. I
wasn't sure what I wanted to carve. The Roundup offered about 20
different projects to try. Some I couldn't wait to try and others that
just turned me off.

After attending this Roundup , I caught the "bug" that continues today.

The one draw back I can see is the guy/gal that occupies the same chair,
same instructor for 5 days . This person does get almost the same
seminar the instructor would charge for on down the road for free and
others can't try the project or carving style being offered. From a
student viewpoint this is a little bothersome but I can't comment from
the instructor view point.

Jack, hope all is well with you and Winnie and see ya in Evart next
year!!!

One of the main reasons I enjoy the roundups so much is also what you
expressed: the comraderie, the opportubity to meet new friends and talk
with friends made before. I hope some other people chinme in about this
topic. Carvingjack Miller
