Hi Peter,

Awesome carving you did. Your work has so much feeling.

Are you going to try and dry that Sugar Gum before you use it? Please keep
us posted on your progress.

Hello Carvers
I have finally made time to add pictures on my web page of the carving I
took to Davenport.
If you weren't there you may like to look at the link below.
As you can imagine I was suprised but very pleased to win a blue ribbon.
I certainlly didn't expect to. I only entered to give that additional
interest to our trip.

On another matter.
Yesterday I picked up a block of wood which I think will be a boy on a
skate board for an exhibition being run by one of our Developers.
They had to cut down two big Sugar Gums so to keep the public happy they
plan to run this exhibition for wood workers of all persasions using the
timber from the trees.
The block I have is 16" x 36" x 60" and weights in at ¾ of a tonne.
All I have to do now is get it off my truck.

Peter
