Hi,
Marcia and Sylda (what beautiful names) I hope i wasn't sounding like a
poor me, but was just using the main example I had to mull and ramble
about the inborn/taught, or whatever. But I imagine my experience was much
like anyone elses of my generation, maybe with a few twists of its own.
:-) Actually I like hearing how others feel about subjects and how they
arrived where they are. Sometimes when I I use a basket full of words and
thots to write, I get a surprise at what shows up. I guess I am, after all
that, fully in support of the idea of strong traits and desires, eg. a
drive to create, and that it is inborn, but in some, needs to be
nourished. Just as my son has a love of mechanics and what seems to be an
inborn unusual understanding of electronics since he was a tot, which is
also traceable thru my mother's
family. I do believe we are hard wired toward certain things before birth.
(Like some of you that understand how these @#$$%$% computer actually
work! Fortunately for me. hehe.)
Anyway, I have enjoyed the opportunity to discuss and discover.
And Sylda, I don't think that tingle is silly at all. :-) In fact that's
the heady feeling I got when I joined this list and started relating to all
these woodcarvers! And so many with such exceptional skill I'll never come
close to achieving. and who are so willing to share their knowledge. I
just hope a little bit of it rubs off and I can learn from them. And
Sylda, email me anytime and we can talk horse!
