Wow, what a story about the man losing the left side of his brain. Sounds
impossible!!. Guess there are always amazing things happening.
Gee, Cynda, we seem pretty much of one mind. I agree -- sports would
survive in schools if academics were tossed. Don't get me wrong sports are
important, but not the Most important. Art & Music is just as important.
However, the most important is none of these things -- the most important is
GOOD, CARING TEACHERS and they are far too few. There that's my say.
Marrilee, you are, with no doubt, one of those teachers I was speaking of.
Parents are just too busy making a living to encourage creative thoughts and
many actually Discourage different thinking. Whatever area a child shows an
interest in should be encouraged. Personal security and self esteem are
very important and really shines when they feel their interests are
important and encouraged by someone other than themselves. Now that I'm a
Grandma/Great Grandma and retired besides I can tell the young parents what
they are doing wrong. (HA HA) As always hind sight is the clearest sight.
Teachers & Grandparents are often the ones who need to do the creative
encouragement. Good teachers on our list ---- keep up the good work, your
very important in these children's lives. You may very well be the only
creative inspiration they will receive.
It's bedtime, creative friends, so Good Night & Sweet Dreams.
