Well, right now we're a little to the east of the projected path, which
is a bad thing. That's where all the wind and tornadoes concentrate.
But usually (if there is such a thing) by the time it's had 80 miles of
land to travel over, the winds are considerably less. I think 95 MPH
from Hurricane Opal a few years ago was the worst we've seen. We live
in a double-wide, but it never even trembled in the storm. We are
surrounded by trees, but God has always kept us safe from falling trees.
As for flooding, who knows? We've always been high and dry (well, maybe
drenched, but dry inside). But then, the beavers upstream have been
very busy the last few years damming our little stream.
Your friend should still be okay. She's on the 'safe' side of the
storm, unless it moves way west of here.
As for my name, how about if I go by my given name? Wynne (pronounced
'win')
Where do you live?

I hope your name isn't an indication of what's to come.
Are you in danger if there is flooding? My friend lives in Kenner in SE
Louisiana, I belive. If you get hit seems she'll be catching all the
weather on the edge. Not good for any of you. I do hope it looses
strength. This one even scares me and I'm a looooooong way away from it.
God Bless and be safe, Keep us posted, OK?
