OK, there is and there isn't. What you can do is use whatever
mail
program you use to FILTER the incoming. Send those you want to talk to
to a folder and, if you want, periodically check the rest quickly
before
sending them to the TRASH. This is (sortof) what I do. All emails that
come in are filtered. I send those from the lists I'm getting to a
folder
for those lists. I still end up with over 300 a day that are garbage
with
a (very) occasional good one. I go thru them all once a day. This has
the
added benefit that I can look at the folders and they'll show an
UNREAD
message so I know when to read.
I have the INBOX filtered. Anything that comes in gets sent to a
folder if I want to keep it. In my case I just seach for the list ID
in
the subject line. I'm not trying to filter anyone out, just separate
the
wheat from the chaff. In your case you COULD use the filters to send
all
the people or subjects you are interested in to a separate folder.
It's a
little high maintenance but it would work.
