For those of us into woodworking, the Lie-Nielsen planes are truly a modern work
of art, the pinnacle of the tool makers trade. If you are ever in midcoast
Maine, on rt 1 between Camden and Waldoboro, the factory is about 3 miles north
of Moody's diner (If you have to ask about Moodys, you don't know Maine!) You
can try and buy every tool they make, plus a number of other tools, including
Charlesworthy's tape on sharpening and either of 2 very complete DMT diamond
sharpening systems that include flat plates and curved tapered hones for the
inside edges of gouges, and workbenches to play with all your new toys on!
I mention the sharpening tapes and equipment just to keep this somewhat carving
related and not entirely a commercial for fine tools.....
