My bench is a nice sturdy woodworking bench. with 2x10 planks for the top. I
have $3 tool holders along the back and side wall. got them at true value.
each one holds about 50 chisels of all different sizes in a vertical position.
My saving grace is a 15" wide very shallow drawer that i attached directly
to the bottom of the workbench top. I lay out horozontally all the chisels
which i am using in my current carving. the drawer slides out of the way or
stays open as a conveinent work tray. this way my carving is attached to the
workbench directly in front of me and when standing or sitting in front of it, if
I pull out the drawer, I am surrounded by chisels and other carving items on 3
sides of me, with my rotary tools hanging from the ceiling over me which i
can pull down. Directly under my workbench is my shop vac and scrollsaw on a
slide out tray. I have often carved for 8 hours at a clip or more without
having to move from my spot once(cept for bathroom and kitchen breaks).
