You may want to contact Len Dillon at diamondd at southshore.com. Len had
basswood eggs and they are much less expensive. In addition Len has a
web page at www.diamondd.org. I buy 100 eggs at a time from Len and
they are much more pleasant to carve than the hard ones. He has eggs in
several sizes from the Banty Chicken Size up to much larger than good
egg size. I generally use chicken egg size and goose egg sizes.
Sorry, I can't help in the china eggs. They might be birch or maple.

i dont know about everyone talkin about non-basswood eggs.....i know i
did....but i still havent found out what kind of wood from China it
is....it cost only 99cents out sheer in Areegon
