hi all,

i finally finished working the winter season in
lapland, finland.

i hope all of you are all in good health and high
spirits and still as happely chipping and carving away
as you where when i last spoke to all of you

i have not carved a single thing in 4 months while i
was working even though i tried to start something so
many times.
i did get my hands on a book by harley refsal and am
going to try some of his patterns on my next carvings.

i like his scandinavian style carvings and would like
to learn more about it.
it seems to me that the way i usually carve never
seems a comfortable way of carving and that i try to
hard to do the details while sometimes less is more (i
think).

do any of you know any other carvers that use this
scandinavian style or flat plane carving to and that
might have written some books or posted some good
tips about it?

have a great day out there.
i am sure i am having one , ( sun is shining, snow is
melting and spring is almost there.)

bless you all

haroun from finland

ps. i don't know what day grounhog day was , but i am
sure he cast a shadow on that day.
