Hi,

I'm pretty much a lurker on this list but really enjoy the interchange and
tidbits I pick up. I like to look at the pictures that are posted. I
finally got around to posting some pictures of my past carvings and some
other stuff if anyone is interested in taking a look. I have done a lot of
woodworking over the years. Mostly construction and cabinet work. I
discovered chip carving 10-12 years ago and have dabbled a little since.
About a year ago I discovered Bill Judt's books and really got inspired to
emulate his relief work. My desire is to not just copy his work but do my
own originals that speak as loud and clear as his do. I feel I am a
passable craftsman but my artistic side really needs developing. I haven't
had the time to get into anything in depth. A recent move to Ohio and the
need to build an apartment to live in will curtail any progress in the
near future also. I am interested in connecting with any carvers in the
Loveland Ohio area. I have already attended one Cincinnati Carvers Guild
meeting but they are a 30 minute drive from where I live.

I have logged into the Wednesday and Sunday chat rooms a couple of times.
All y'all are a great bunch of carvers. I look forward to some day
attending one or more of your "gatherings" and gathering a bit of your
collective carving wisdom in person.

Any comments on my work would be appreciated.

   - I just love this guy. Sorta says, "I don't have a clue!"
Kinda the way I feel sometimes.
