[Woodcarver] Sunday Woodcarver Chat

Hi Michael,
My first suggestion is, if the bed is made out of red oak, to carve the
Fleur De Leis out of red oak. If red oak is not to your liking for carving
than I would select a piece of butternut that had the same color match. In
selecting the butternut put Danish Oil on it and hold it next to the
finished red oak of the bed. The color and grain of butternut is close to
red oak and softer to carve. However it is not as strong as red oak.
