I think most residents of New Hampshire have had some sort of an experience 
with deers,
with the deer on the losing end.
A bigger problem, around here, is with Moose. With the smaller cars, the 
Moose is hit in the legs
and their body comes through the windshield. The small car is usually 
totaled & there have been
some fatalities.
The law around here makes it interesting. If you hit & kill a Deer or Moose 
and report it to the State Police, you are entitled to the body if you want 
it.   This is NOT an economical way to put meat on the table.
