[Woodcarver] Soprrento?????????

  The judging takes place Sat. morning, then open to the public at 12 noon.  On Sunday it opens at 9 AM until - I believe 4PM.  How nice if you did make it, and it is a pretty drive from Kelowna to Sorrento.  There are entries from all over, and a really great carver from Penticton and Kelowna will be attending, not judging, she is a first class teacher and has given us two - two day relief carving courses.  It is wonderful to find someone willing to come and help, and she is an excellent teacher.  Her name is Chris Goncalve.  She has "Wood'n Arts" in Kelowna.  A very nice way to spend a birthday - you have many great carvers in the East, and we are proud of the ones we have in the West too.

    I am a very novice - bur we have an acive litle group in Soprrento, and a wonderful Carving Show comoing up there on the 20th and 21st of August.  We are about 2 /1 hours from Kelowna.
