[Woodcarver] Flying with knives

i agree with what jan said, put it in the luggage that goes in the baggage hold of the plane.
when i was coming back from australia to belgium i had a small souvenir pocket knife with me , i did not think anything of it untill it past through security and the infrared, the stuardes just took it from me and checked it in into a special locker that no one can acces.
i got the knife back the moment i stepped of the plain in belgium.

I will be flying to Arizona soon and plan to take a set of palm tools with me. I know I can't carry then with me onto the plane. Do I need to do anything special so as not to excite security?
