[Woodcarver] QUESTION and greetings

 hi everyone,
  
  1)when carving a woodspirit face relief on a plaque, what size is the  preferred size of would to buy length width hight thickness. what is  the preferred size , life size (like a normal face size or???
  
  does anyone know about a tutorial or a wbsite on where to find good info on carving a good woodspirit.
  
  2)today was a great day, i went to town with my girlfriend to look for some christmas presents.
  
  and then we went to church (lutheran) and listened to the choir and  sang christmas songs in finnish, there was however one song that they  did not sing in finnish but in english it made me happy and most of all  (i am not very religious)
  i could not help but think of some of my friends on the list and of the  list who are sick. and sent a prayer (more than one ) their way for a  speady recovery.
